- How is this different from painting an acrylic set?
- A painted set has colour sitting on top of clear acrylic, and that top layer is what chips. With colour powder the pigment is suspended through the material itself. Wear it for three weeks and the colour at the tip is the same colour it started as.
- What are the trade-offs?
- Changing your mind is harder. A polish change takes minutes; changing a colour powder set means a new set or a full refill. Choose it when you know the shade you want to live with, not when you are experimenting.
- Can it be combined with a French tip?
- Yes, and it is a common pairing — a coloured body with a white or contrast free edge, both built in powder. It adds cost and time because the two stages are built separately.
